Aluminum Alloy Docks
Dalian Laohutan Fisherman’s Wharf

Project Overview
Structure: Aluminum Alloy Pontoon
Quantity of Berths: 37
Yacht Accommodation: 30 Feet ~ 60 Feet

1. It's first sea fishing yacht club in China.

2. The overall design concept revolved around "European Ocean Customs" and "Local Culture of Fishermen", from the color selection of floor paving to Rolec dolphin-shaped hydropower box, the whole echoed with this design concept.

The project sits in the interior basin of Laohutan Fisherman's Wharf, Dalian, Liaoning Province, one of the most ancient areas in Dalian, with a coastline of over 1.7 kilometers. With the integration of the concept of floating marina, the nostalgic style of Europe was infused with charming ocean flavor. There were 37 berths planned in total, which could reliably berth boats ranging from 30 feet to 60 feet.

The client hoped that we could deeply understand local culture and respect the history, which shape the project site as a unique marine cultural tourism resort. And also it shall be improved on the local reception level to develop the commercial value of the yacht marina. After sincere communication and field research at pre-phase, we chose the grey pontoon flooring for the first time, which would not cause visual conflict in areas with strong local wharf culture. Also, Rolec dolphins were selected to match the marine culture theme for power pedestals appearance. At the same time, considering the climate of Dalian comprehensively, all water supply and firefighting pipelines were insulated and heated. So the client was pretty satisfied with Goodocks's works, and we had successfully left a symbol belonging to Goodocks’s in Dalian.
